Meet Destiny

Embarking on therapy can be a significant step, and I deeply respect the strength and honesty it takes to reach out for support. The world can feel overwhelming right now, particularly for younger generations and their parents.  As parents, you might feel unsure about the best way to guide your child through life’s challenges. Or, as a young person yourself, you may find it daunting to handle the pressures of everyday life. I'm here to offer guidance, understanding, and support to help you or your child move through these challenges with confidence.

I bring valuable experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in both healthcare and private practice settings. My extensive training and expertise have equipped me to support individuals and families through a variety of challenges, including medical trauma, managing chronic health conditions, anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, life transitions, and grief. I am committed to helping clients navigate these complexities with understanding and tailored support.

I was raised in Overland Park, KS, but have spent the last decade focused on my education and professional growth in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. I completed both my undergraduate and graduate social work programs at Texas Christian University, earning my Master’s of Social Work degree in May 2017. I obtained my clinical license through my work at Children’s Health in Dallas, TX, and further honed my expertise in play therapy while at New Leaf Clinic in Dallas, TX. My family’s plan to move to Nashville, TN has inspired me to take my practice with me, transitioning to a virtual platform which allows my work to be more accessible to those in need.

My passion for working with teens, young adults, and parents of young children has grown through my diverse work experiences. I've discovered that my approach, personality, and both personal and professional background have made me well-suited to support this group. Many of the families I've worked with recently have turned to me as a long-term, reliable resource for themselves or their children. I recognize that each developmental stage and life milestone brings its own unique challenges, and I’ve become a trusted source of honesty, guidance, and comfort as parents and their children navigate these stages.

When I’m not with clients….

I spend a lot of my time focusing on my roles as a mother and wife. Our family loves connecting with our church community, being outdoors with our pup, and recently, discovering all that Nashville has to offer! We’re eager to dive into new experiences like hiking, enjoying live music, and indulging in great food. Before my career began, I spent much of my time immersed in competitive and collegiate dance. Dance was my form of therapy, and while I don't dance as much these days, I still find joy in spontaneous dance sessions in my kitchen.
